In 1951, Norwin and Shirley Heimos planted the seeds of what would become one of the country’s largest greenhouse operations — starting with a small produce stand and a passion for growing things well. More than seventy years later, their children and more than thirty grandchildren carry that same passion forward, tending greenhouses their father built by hand and growing millions of plants a year across our campuses in Millstadt, Illinois and Sunset Hills, Missouri.

Plants don’t take weekends off, and neither do we. Every geranium, poinsettia, and hanging basket that leaves our greenhouses carries three generations of hands-on care — the same standard Norwin and Shirley set in 1951.
